Dr Kate Allen, Executive Director, Science and Public Affairs
Kate is responsible for the science and policy programmes at World Cancer Research Fund International. Kate has a PhD in neuroscience and can comment on our scientific research and policy work.
Susannah Brown, Senior Science Programme Manager
Susannah is a senior scientist working on our Continuous Update Project (CUP) who joined WCRF in 2014. Susannah can comment on the scientific findings from the CUP with a focus on public health and nutrition.
Gerard Cousins, Director of Fundraising
Gerard oversees our Fundraising department. This includes events, community, legacy and trusts and foundations fundraising, as well as corporate partnerships and supporter services. He is available to provide comment on all aspects of our fundraising activity.
Dr Anna Diaz, Science Programme Manager (Research Funding)
Anna oversees our research grant programme. She previously worked at Prostate Cancer UK and has a PhD in human and medical genetics. She can comment on our grant funded research.
Katherine Hale, Head of Health Information
Katherine leads our Health Information team to provide accredited training and support to health professionals and create engaging and evidence-based cancer prevention resources to the public. Katherine also works directly with recipe writers and health professionals to support healthy eating for people living with cancer. She is able to comment on public health nutrition as well as healthy lifestyles and their impact on cancer.
Sharon Hui, Health Information Manager
Sharon is a qualified nutritionist and works in our Health Information team. She is responsible for creating print and online health information resources, such as booklets, health tools and recipes, to educate and motivate people to make changes to their lifestyles. She can comment on nutrition, promoting healthy lifestyles for cancer prevention and our Cancer Prevention Recommendations.
Louise Meincke, Head of Policy and Public Affairs
Louise is a public affairs specialist and human rights advocate with over ten years experience of working on global public policy. She is able to comment on all aspects of our policy work.
Dr Panagiota Mitrou, Director of Research Funding and Science External Relations
Giota has a PhD in Genetic Epidemiology from the University of Cambridge and has written several papers in the area of diet and cancer. She previously held research positions at the National Cancer Institute in the US and at the University of Cambridge. She has worked at WCRF for ten years in various senior positions within the Science Department. Her main responsibilities include oversight of the research grant programme, our convening and capacity building activities and partnerships at national and international level. In her current role she works closely with the Policy and Public Affairs team to ensure there is coherence between our science and policy activities.
