I’m interested in holding a raffle or lottery for World Cancer Research Fund. Are there rules around this?

Holding a raffle or a lottery can be a really effective way to raise funds for our vital work. This area is one of the most heavily regulated in fundraising. If you’re planning to hold a raffle or a lottery, there are certain regulations that must be followed. You can read about these on the Institute of Fundraising website and on the Gambling Commission website. If you have any further questions, call our Fundraising Team on 020 7343 4200.

Will a member of the team attend our event?

We'll always try to attend your events, but we're a small team based in London. This means that, as much as we'd love to come along to say thank you in person, it will not always be possible. We can, however, send you a presentation to show to your supporters at the event.

If you use social media, we'd love to hear about your event and see pictures – don’t forget to tag us @WCRF_UK.

How will the money I raise help prevent cancer?

We're so grateful that you've chosen to support our cancer prevention work. We’ll make sure that your money is put to good use. It will fund research into how we can prevent cancer and the devastation it causes, and allow us to reach more people through our education programmes, helping them to lower their risk of developing the disease.
