Kidney cancer incidence

In 2013, 11,634 cases of kidney cancer were diagnosed. Of these cancer cases, 7,274 were in men and 4,360 were in women.

Kidney cancer mortality

In the UK in 2013, there were 3,979 deaths from kidney cancer. Of these deaths, 2,457 were men and 1,522 were women.

Proportion preventable

Smoking is a risk factor for kidney cancer. But scientists also estimate the following proportion of kidney cancer cases could be prevented in the UK through healthy changes:
