Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men in the UK.

Prostate cancer incidence

In 2013, 47,189 men were diagnosed with prostate cancer. Of these, about 20% were advanced prostate cancer. This type of cancer does not affect women, as they do not have a prostate.

Prostate cancer mortality

Prostate cancer is the second most common cause of cancer death in men in the UK. In 2013, 10,870 men died of prostate cancer.
